Google’s sale of a previously purchased arm of the company this morning, 3D modeling software SketchUp, to Trimble, isn’t just something it does “every now and again”. It’s actually Google’s first divestment ever, according to two sources, and we’re hearing the search giant made a profit, as it sold SketchUp for more than it bought it for back in 2006. This could signal a sea change in how Larry Page executes his vision for a leaner, more focused Google. The company frequently shuts down extraneous products, but that requires redistribution of their team members internally. If it’s now willing to sell them instead, Google could streamline around the theme of making user’s lives more convenient, while making some money at the same time.

After Alistair Overeem’s license was called into question by the Nevada Athletic Commission because of results of a testosterone screening, the UFC has changed the heavyweight bout at UFC 146 on May 26. Now former champion Frank Mir will face current champ Junior dos Santos for the belt. UFC president Dana White tweeted the news on Friday night.
In early April, Overeem’s pre-fight random drug test raised red flags with the NAC, who will administer the May fight in Las Vegas. His testosterone levels were well above the approved levels. He is scheduled to to appear before the NAC on Tuesday.
The ongoing question after Overeem’s troubles arose was who would replace him on such an important card. This is dos Santos’ first title defense since beating Cain Velasquez for the belt in November. Overeem earned the title shot by defeating Brock Lesnar in December.
Though a vocal group of fans pushed for Mark Hunt, who is fighting Stefan Struve at UFC 146, Mir was always the best option. He would not have to change much to prepare for the bout since he was already scheduled to fight Cain Velasquez. Mir won his last three bouts, including a memorable submission of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 140.

In our opinion, LEGO is the greatest toy ever made. If you have the skills, you can turn simple LEGO bricks into just about anything you can imagine. As a kid, I used LEGO pieces to make other toys. As an adult, all I want LEGO to do is open beers for me and file my taxes. I’ve got the first part nailed down, but I’m still working on second.
Star Wars LEGO organ
This amazing LEGO creation is built from more than 20,000 bricks and was part of a German promotional campaign for “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace in 3-D.” Two professional LEGO builders constructed miniature scenes from the movie around the drum, positioned in such a way that they play out the Star Wars theme on a keyboard as the drum rotates.
